The Village of Jones Creek was incorporated in 1969. Our City Government is structured as a Type A Municipality, with a Mayor and five presiding Aldermen at Large. Mayoral elections are held in odd numbered years with terms running two years. Aldermen terms are two years; three seats are elected in odd numbered years, and the other two seats are elected in even numbered years, alongside the Mayor.
The Village of Jones Creek City Hall has been located at 7207 Stephen F. Austin Road for 33 years, and is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. All City Council Meetings are held at City Hall every third Tuesday of the month. From time to time, the City Council will announce a Special Called Meeting.

THE VILLAGE OF JONES CREEK ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 12.13 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $0.00.
