Stray animals can be a common problem for any neighborhood. The Village of Jones Creek has coordinated with the City of Brazoria for Animal Control Enforcement. Below you will find information on the Animal Control Officer working within the Village of Jones Creek, as well as information pertaining to Animal Regulations.
The Village of Jones Creek requires you to register your animal(s) annually. To do so, please bring the Animal Registration Form, and a copy of the animal's rabies vaccination certificate. A form needs to be filled out for each animal at the residence.
$5.00 for spayed/neutered animals
$10.00 for unaltered animals.
(A tag will be given to you upon registration.)
If you have a stray or nuisance animal problem, please contact the Village of Jones Creek City Hall and a report will be taken to have the animal picked up or have the owner contacted. Please be aware the Animal Control Officer does not work everyday; therefore, animals may not be picked up the same day.
Also, be aware The Village of Jones Creek does not allow animals to run loose or be tethered. If your animal is caught running loose, it may be picked up by the Animal Control Officer and a fine of up to $2,000.00 may be imposed. Animals must be kept inside an enclosure or placed on a runner. Residents who tether or chain their animal can also be fined up to $2,000.00 by the Court.
If your animal is picked up by the Animal Control Officer, you must contact the Village of Jones Creek City Hall at 979-233-2700 before you may redeem your pet.
Fines for impounded animals are:
$25.00 (registered animals) or $50.00 (non-registered animal) for boarding fees, plus a $5.00 daily fee.
Neighbors with nuisance animals can also become a problem. If you have a problem with your neighbor's animal(s), you can file a formal complaint with the Jones Creek Municipal Court under City Ordinance #471. You can contact the Court at 979-233-1826.

ACO. Follin has been working with the Village of Jones Creek since March 2015. She has a strong love for animals and believes that if you treat animals with respect they will treat you with the same. Her goal is to find loving homes for all the stray animals she has been tasked with picking up. She wants to educate all residents on proper animal care and complying with City Laws.
