This is Marshal William Tidwell with a morning update regarding the winter weather event. We have spoke to Centerpoint and at this time power has been restored; however, they are not guaranteeing it will stay up. We may still experience blackouts until the system across the state is back completely functional.
We want to remind you that trash service will run today. Waste Connection will try to service the entire city, if possible. If they are not able to pick up every household trash we will discuss with them when remaining service will occur and let you know. Please make sure to have carts out to street now.
Kiki Mart, or the old Wag-a-Bag, does have power and you are able to pump gas.
Please stay prepared in the event we lose power again. Please also check all your water pipes in and around you home. If you notice a leak you should turn the main water supply valve off to your home to prevent further damage and to conserve water. Once the main line it turned off, drain all your lines by opening all your sinks, showers, and water faucets to drain down the lines. Make repairs if able or contact a plumber.
Again, we are unsure if the power will stay on so please continue to stay prepared. And as always if you have a question, concern, or need anything please text me at 9792926393. Have a safe and warm day. Thank you and good bye.

This is Marshal William Tidwell with an evening update regarding the community conditions. We have been in contact with Waste Connections regarding trash service and trash service will run tomorrow, Thursday. They are unable to fill their trucks with fuel due to power outages, but will try to service as much of the community as possible. Please notify your neighbors about trash service or place their carts next to street if they are not.
We have also spoke to Trent Water Works and they advised when the Choctaw subdivision, or Bow and Arrow area, water supply comes back on, those residents will need to boil their water until Trent Water Works notifies them otherwise. The Terrace and Creekwood subdivision’s water supply are fine and does not need to boil water.
Kiki Mart or the old Wag-a-bag will be open tomorrow from sunrise to sunset, but you will need to pay with cash and they still do not have power so they do not have gas. We will do out best to keep you up-to-date and send out messages as we can. We are proud of our community supporting each other and coming together during this very difficult time. Thank you and God Bless!

As you may or may not know, The Governor of Texas has declared a State of Emergency for the Entire State of Texas. I am not aware of any shelters that are open. Even if they were the roadways can be Dangerous to travel. We also are aware of the Village Power Outage
Therefore I also declare a State of Emergency for the Entire Village of Jones Creek. And to inform all that City Hall will be closed tomorrow due to expected worse weather conditions.
I advise all residents to stay at home. Hook up generators if you have them. If you have a gas furnace, all you need to get power up is the controls and a fan motor 10-15 amps to get heat in your home. Also check on your neighbors and help out when you can. And use fireplaces, if you can safely and have firewood.
We have communicated with Center Point Energy, but they cannot provide us with a timeline on getting our power restored. They have 2.8 million outages. Therefore I do not expect anything from them until tomorrow.....maybe.
May God Bless us all and stay safe during this Disaster.
